RE:Work shows the result of an international masterclass in which 38 students collaborated in Brussels, Barcelona, Manchester and Bordeaux. RE:Work started from challenges for Brussels, a metropolis with a huge demographic growth and an extensive industrial infrastructure, that however degenerates rather than reorients itself. Former residential and work areas now act entirely as residential areas. Combinations are rearly. Cause of this is the lack of contemporary economic models of urban interweaving.
In October 2012, BOGDAN & VAN BROECK were invited for a presentation of the project Port-Sud in the frame of this masterclass’ public lectures with the theme: “Architectural challenges for a new urban economy”.
The exhibition, with its inauguration on March 11th 2014 in deSingel (Antwerp), follows the masterclass, lectures and publication, and will be open to the public from March 12th until June 7th, 2014.
Time: 12.03.14 – 07.06.14, open from Wednesday to Sunday, 14.00-18.00 and during other events – closed on Monday, Tuesday and holidays
Inauguration: 11.03.14, 20.00 | subscriptions required
