In A+262, the Belgian architecture magazine zooms in on the place of industry and industrial heritage in the city under the theme (re)work.
Our project COOP is featured as an example of “good practice” in the section “In the picture” of the magazine and linked to the Expo Atelier Brussels— A Good City Has Industry at Bozar curated by Architecture Workroom as part of the Rotterdam Biennal. This conversion of an old mill along the canal in Anderlecht combines a centre for Small and Medium Enterprises and an “interpretation centre”. An innovative restoration approach is used as a form of ecological recycling and cultural sustainability for the re-valuation of the industrial heritage, as well as an aim to reach a better social integration.
