Our project Moreau Social Housing has been awarded as an “Exemplary Building”! Tuesday, February 14, the project is presented to the public in a press conference, together with 38 other award-winning projects of this 4th edition.
Since 2007, the Brussels Capital Region organises a call for projects to promote the construction and renovation of “Exemplary Buildings”. The aim is to show that excellent results in terms of energy and environmental impact can be achieved, even with limited financial resources.
Together with the past editions (2007, 2008 and 2009), the call for Exemplary Buildings resulted so far in 156 selected projects, in total representing 371 000 m² and a reduction in CO2-exhausts of 18 200 tons. All projects will be realised by 2015 with the financial support of the Regional Government, for an amount of 24 million EUR. This will result in 160 000 m² of passive buildings in the Brussels Region, whereas in 2007, there were none…
