Oana Bogdan has been invited to give a workshop “Soil & City” in the context of this year’s Soulmates event 2021. This workshop will be given 3 times at the Erasmus House in Anderlecht, Brussels on Sunday 12 September.
For its second edition, the Soilmates collective will move to Brussels on September 12 and 13, 2021. This year they are moving up to the capital, to three meaningful places in Anderlecht: Smala Farming, the gardens of the Erasmus House and Le Champignon de Bruxelles where you can discover the living soil between the urban concrete.
Sunday 12 September is all about sharing knowledge and reflection on the condition of the living soil in the city. From 10 am to 6 pm, scientists, artists, anthropologists, philosophers, city architects, farmers and artisans-chefs will give their voice to the earth. Through lectures, artistic performances, workshops and tastings, these enthusiastic Soilmates want to take the audience on a journey to the hidden – and living – world beneath our feet. On September 12, participants are invited to visit (preferably) the route between the 3 sites by bike (max. 15 minutes between each location).
Soilmates is a non-profit organisation that aims to draw attention to the condition of the (un)fertile soil in particular and that seeks to provide education and bring committed people together. Soilmates is an initiative by Caroline Baerten, Nicolas Decloedt, Alexandra Swenden and Dries Delanote.
There are still tickets available on their website and make sure to check their amazing program!
