HOUSING PROJECT ON THE CORNER OF THE CHAUSSÉE DE HAECHT AND AVENUE LOUIS PIERARD IN EVERE | DIRECT COMMISSION FROM THE CLIENT
The main ambition of this project is to optimise the amount and configuration of finely detailed apartments on a rather limited site.
Our proposal comprises of 43 living units of different size, orientation and typology with an underground parking.
Carving the volume beyond the basic regulations allows us to create very compact and qualitative apartments with optimal daylight access.
The volume is contextual by adapting to the height of its neighbours and the modernistic Brunfaut towers across the railway. This results in an atypical building shape with a height accent on the corner, adressing the higher buildings accross the railway.
With a studied variety of typologies, each with a balcony or (roof) garden, the project aims for a social mix that is adapted to today’s demographic conditions.
The generous entrance halls and circulation spaces are designed to generate places for encounter: slightly oversized, finished with wooden wall covering and impeccable acoustics create an atmosphere of tranquility and comfort.
The outside spaces allow for a necessary distance between the different dwellings, offering privacy to every typology. The inner garden and roofgardens are lushly planted to ensure high living standards in this quite dense urban fabric.
